I GOT LASH EXTENSIONS~~

 -|:Youtube :|: Facebook :|: Twitter :|: PrettyDNA :|: Vlog :|: FourSquare :|-

OMG! I got them!! :)
I was walking around the grocery store with my mom yesterday, reading a Korean magazine, and it occurred to me that fixing things isn't that hard.  I suddenly had this urge to get my mole shaved off and get some eyelash extensions (crazy how my cravings work, huh? :)

I came home, did some research online and made an appointment to get my lashes done.
Everything is pretty much explained in my latest video.

Here are some before pictures.

The issue was short + brittle.

My lashes were too weak to hold any sort of curl. Especially my left eye.

And here are some after pictures.
I like how the lashes aren't all crazy when seen from the front.  It doesn't have that flashy dolly eyes look, which I like.

Ooh-la-la! super long!

There are a couple of things that you do have to note before getting extensions.

  • Touch ups...
It's a pretty high-maintenance thing.  You have to get touch-ups every 3~4 weeks after you set your foot into the extension world.  Shelling out 40-60 dollars per touch-up is pretty pricy. *sigh*
  •  Oil-free cleansers.
If you are an avid cleansing oil user like me, be aware that you can't use that around your eyes or on your eye makeup.  You have to use Q-tips and oil-free formulas to gently remove your eye makeup.
  • No waterproof mascara.
I don't know why, but they said don't use these.
  • No rubbing, yanking..
Your lashes area becomes super fragile and special, you can't be rough with it anymore!
  • 2 hours of numbness.
I thought my head was going to explode while I was getting the extensions done. My arms were getting stiff and I couldn't even move my head a slight bit.  After everything was done, I felt so happy I could finally get my head off the pillow :'p

I hope this post/video helped you guys out :)
All in all, I am happy with the result.

  9. Wow, this is the first time I've seen somebody actually doing this! I think maybe it's more common in Asia since also fake lashes are really not that popular in Europe..

Altogether, your natural lashes are really short and it looks so amazing afterwards! You gained like 100% plus! A pity it may only last a few weeks though :/ I hope yours is staying for a long time this way!

  10. Wow it looks really natural and long! So pretty :)
I guess you can't use waterproof mascara since they are difficult to remove and you'd need an oil based cleanser to remove it completely which you can't use anyway because of your extensions. That's what I think!

  11. Wow, they are gorgeous. I wouldn't even use heavy mascara if I had them. I would probably curl and put some clear mascara on for hold.

  15. wow! they made a huge difference!!!

i have the same problem - a lot of people think it's because i'm asian and my eyelid folds over my lashes, but nope, they're just pin straight and super short. hahaha, every time i attempt to curl mine, i catch my eyelid. D:
