I feel like long hair doesn't suit me.. or, I dunno, I feel like my hair style isn't that flattering right now.I have long hair, with no layers (and some bangs) that come down pass my boobs, and I really need to trim my split ends (it has come to a point where I can't brush it - I guess this is what's making it look unflattering).
I first thought of just trimming it, but I like using the iron to curl my hair, and layers definitely helps when it comes to curling. Yet, they are hard to maintain since it's pretty much all over the place if you don't style it. So I'm still on the fence about layers (plus it took me a good while to grow out all my layers).
And then after thinking for a while, I figured I might just go super short since it's easier to style and my head doesn't feel so heavy. But it's a biatch growing it out, especially when it's passing the shoulder length (which takes forever.. gahhhhh) and I don't get the versatility long hair provides.
Also, my bf thinks it'll be weird if I go short (he likes long hair -_-;;).
What do you guys think I should do about my hair?
I've always wanted super long hair, but I just think my hair isn't structured to grow long. It gets damaged way too easily and makes me look really messy.
1. keep growing and just trim!!

i vote for 3.5 - get a trim and get layers!! that way you can still do all the styling you want and get rid of all the icky split ends.... personally i would say no to growing it super long because it looks really heavy and cumbersome.... I know some people who have really long hair (as in past their butts) and it looks kind of silly because it's this giant mass of hair that they can never really style properly and stuff and in general really icky.... >.< hope you find something you like though!

ReplyDeleteAnd I so agree with you! Once it gets past your shoulders it grows super slow. I thought my hair was the only one growing super slow, haha. I think all guys like the longer hair since they can play with it, lol. I like the bangs you got with your short hair - you look a little older with a short do. And your penguins are cute as always!

ReplyDeleteGet a trim like 2 inches with side swept bangs. The layers shouldn't be as sharp with the last layer being more blunt. How does that sound?

ReplyDeleteI dont know how bad is your hair situation now, but if it is really very dry and split ends all over then of course you have to go for a big chop, otherwise just cut them into layers first to see if it helps with the dry ends. A big chop doesnt mean the super short hair - I think just dont cut too short as Bethy Beth, lol. My hair is very fine and dry but I am still growing it (but it grows slow), it takes me like 3 to 4 years to reach my boobs. I think I have to go for layers first. Anyway, as my hair is fine so it doesnt look like if it is too long. I am going to investigate some hair extentions. There is a Youtube Guru Lollipop26 she plays with hair extentions recently and it looks good and fun.

ReplyDeleteI think you look super cute in the first black and white pic of #2. I love that hair style on you without tugging your hair behind the ears. If you don't want it short, I think #3 with shorter and trim looks nice too. But again, #2 is really chic and sophisticated.

ReplyDeleteI think you look best with #5. Long hair looks good on you. Especially when you don't have layers. I think layers tend to make the person look as though they don't have much hair.. as in balding, LOL. It's never a pretty sight, I tend to cringe when I see girls with layered hair. They didn't have THAT much hair to begin with, layering is not going to flatter them. Oops.. I am rambling...
Anyway, I am more of a classic kind of girl. I love #5.. most Asian girls look good with that kind of style. Especially with nice features as yours! =) Hope this helped.

I actually have the same hair style on me right now but it's really easy to take care of and pretty when it's styled in any ways! Well, I still like your full, long hair with lots of body to it, but it would be nice to change once in a while,too I think!
ReplyDeleteGirl~ long hair looks gorgeous on you, but I think you should try cutting to chin length framing your face and then getting side swept bangs, it would look great on you! Something similar to your 2nd pic.
ReplyDeleteCut off a few inches and get layers, you'll feel lighter! Having short hair is always gonna be an option - long hair, not so much since it takes so long to grow. I'm currently growing out my hair, too. It's the first time in 8 years that it's been that long.

If you can be bothered going through the uncomfortable time of growing it out~~~ Coz honestly sometimes I can't stand it when it gets to an awkard length. Because I have the some problem...long make my face look fat(ter) haha but too short isn't flattering as well..so maybe i'll just go for the layers again...or only long in the front shorter..aa i'm not helping am I?!:p haha ok ok...if I had to choose for you I would say go for short! because it looks good on you and it's easy to handle:))

ReplyDeleteI think it would look good on you plus, I used to have really long hair as well that was few inches up from my butt (LOL- but my hair is slightly wavy so it looked a bit shorter) and I decided to cut it off to my shoulders and even though it's lighter I can't do as many hairstyles and I'm bascially just waiting for it to grow back out again. :/

ReplyDeleteI really like the short hair look, you're super cute with it, but personally I just love long flowing hair :P The layered version feels a bit "fobby" to me, and I love long thick voluminous hair (+curly waves), so I'd say, if you don't have thin hair like me, thick hair is so much sexier.
